It’s episode one! We’ve officially got a podcast. In this episode we’ll cover the most popular and painful subject for a lot of indie business owners, especially newbies.

It’s PRICING

What am I worth? Is that how I should price things up? What’s the going rate? What value I bring? Do I do it by day rate aghhhhhhhhhhh etc. You can almost hear everyone’s existential crises.

Well sorry pal but we don’t have ALL the answers. But there are some nuggets in here for you to chew over. We have a voicenote from your friend and mine, Tom Garfield of web strategy agency brand new notebook. Tom gives us his take on why you should tell your clients your price in at least three places and contexts.

We also give a shoutout to an indie business owner/freelancer we think is brilliant in our regular feature.

It’s likely we’ll revisit this topic, because it’s such a massive one.

Let us know, how do you price up your services?

And time for the obligatory “please follow us” beg…

Spotify / Apple podcasts / Amazon Music and Audible

And our indie business club page is on LinkedIn.

Thanks for listening,

From
Mel & Ben

PS: If you’re into copywriting, come see friend of the show Dave Harland (and chat to me, Mel) at Fix Fest on 3rd July. It’s in London. See you soon!
