That's interesting, I think often people consider "going viral" as a good thing in terms of reach/impressions. But if the post that goes big isn't aligned with your normal business messaging then it can do some damage. It also means that any other posts you've got scheduled should probably get pushed back a bit to allow the "big" post to have its moment. Otherwise the subsequent posts get lost in its wake.
I have 1370 connections, so by one of the definitions above almost all of my posts go viral

I think for me it's the use of the word viral. Viruses are bad things that we want to avoid. They are invaders and can be very damaging.
