Hello, Ben here with the last email you’ll get from us this year.
There’s two people I want to thank as we wrap up 2024.
One is Mel.
And the other is you.
Mel, because doing this podcast and building indie business club has become such a joyful part of my life. I absolutely love it.
So, thank you Mel.
And you, dear reader, because you listen to and read the stuff we come up with. We’ve said loads of times how we had the idea for the podcast after sending each other WhatsApp voice messages and chuckling to ourselves that, “these would make great content,” but we had no idea whether anyone would actually listen, read, or chuckle along with us. And you do.
So, thank you for being a part of our audience.
Anyway, that’ll do for today. And this year.
Hope you’ve managed to catch a break during this holiday season, and that you can approach 2025 with positivity.
See you on the other side.

PS: I’m old enough to remember when my favourite bands put as much effort into their ‘B’ sides as they did their singles and albums. (I worked with a lad recently who admitted to me in the van that despite being a music fan he’s never listened to an album all the way through. I sacked him at the end of the day. I’M JOKING. I sacked him on the spot.*) Mel and I released our first ‘B’ side yesterday. It’s about my current relationship with LinkedIn and it’s a very consumable 8 minutes long. We’d really like to know what you think of this short form type of pod, so please let us know by replying to this email or tagging us on LinkedIn.
