Get bogged down, distracted
Hello, Ben here, how’s your week been?
Individually, and as a duo, it’s been a full week for both me and Mel.
Lots of work. Mel went to the Being Freelance Christmas bash. Oh, and on Thursday we released episode 14 of the podcast, Handbags And Gladrags: Industry Awards.

The highlight of the week (for me anyway. Mel got to hang out and sing karaoke with friends-of-the-show Ange, Molly, Thommy G, and Nikki P on Weds), was getting together with Mel at my business coach Phil Budd’s ‘growth club’ event on Tuesday.
Working together in person doesn’t happen for us all that often. So the chance of a day reflecting on what we’ve achieved this year and thinking about what’s next was too good to pass up. And there was an amazing lunch, too.
We both grabbed our Remarkable Paper Tablets and tried not to get too distracted thinking about Mel’s imminent upgrade to the pro version. Other than that, it’s very much an analogue kind of day. Phil provides these brilliant, enormous laminated planners and a never-ending supply of post-it notes. So we chatted, thought, scribbled, stuck, and thought some more.
We’re not quite ready to share what we’ve come up with. But I’m really excited at our plans for next year.

Whatever you’re up to this week, I hope it’s calm and that you’re winding down ahead of a good Christmas break. I hope that for myself, too.
