Hi, Mel here.
I meant to write this email about eight hours ago.
Then I got distracted tackling Mount Washmore, our stack of clean laundry.
Then I got distracted making banana bread with my daughter.
Then I got distracted looking at CopyCon posts and photos.
Then I got distracted reading Eddie Shleyner’s book, Very Good Copy.
Then I got distracted curling up and having a teeny tiny nap.
It was glorious. No regrets. I made it here in the end. Hi.
Ben and I saw each other yesterday. He came down to London for brunch with me, Dave Harland (of indie business club multiple-mention fame) and Dan Nelken (of indie business club episode 7 guest-cohost fame).
Anyway, I got distracted again. But look how incredible my brunch was.
My job today is to remind you to listen to our latest episode, Somebody Told Me. I quoted our guest voicenoter Bob Burg at CopyCon on Friday, when I gave a talk titled “Get Over Yourself And Post”.
I also revealed the incredible secret high-performance tactic I used for getting Bob to provide us with a voicenote for the podcast.

We also gave a shoutout to The Pickerings who run Cowork Crew along with Kabo Creative and The Marketing Meetup Northampton. Ben and I are both at Cowork Crew Cambridge this coming Friday 15th November (Ben’s speaking), then I’m speaking at Cowork Crew Northampton on Thursday 21st November.
